Window Replacement Melbourne Team Awarded International Company Of The Year
Our unique 10-Year comprehensive Guarantee and Award-winning installation service recently earned us the privilege of being named international installation company of the year.
There were over 3000 companies independently audited and our window replacement specialists in Melbourne won, even beating our own UK installation company which has been operating since 1979. We work hard to ensure that all of our methods and procedures consistently meet and exceed international standards each and every time.
Once you have placed your order, then the window replacement process is very simple and is easily explained in the following stages:
Our Operations Department will contact you by telephone to arrange a convenient time for one of our highly trained Surveyors to visit you to finalise all the internal and external measurements. He will take the full technical measurements for manufacturing purposes and confirm colours and how your windows will operate. At this point you can make any changes you require and the Surveyor will make note.
The Surveyor will then send your order to our purpose-built factory in the UK.
We are proud to have won the Manufacturer of the Year Award in 2015 and one of the reasons for this is our Quality Control department. All your windows and doors have to be signed off by three different members of our UK QC team before being shipped to Australia. We then carry out a final QC check in Kilsyth and only then do we contact you to agree installation dates convenient to you.
This is the installation stage. At Ecostar we are very particular about doing the job properly. In fact one of our training phrases is “Get it right first time”.
When we install your new windows we start by removing all your reveals and architraves and then we remove your existing window to leave a clean aperture. We then install the new UPVC window and fill the space around the edge of the window with insulating expanding foam to ensure a complete watertight and airtight fit. This is followed by trimming the outside with UPVC trims and silicone where required to ensure your windows look fantastic.
We then replace the reveals and finish off by installing your new architraves. This now ensures that you have an installation that is watertight, airtight as well as eliminating traffic and annoying external noise.
Ecostar only use employed installers. The norm in Melbourne is to use self-employed sub-contractors, which is ok for commercial work but too risky for private homes. We believe that if you offer a sub-contractor a fixed price for every window or door then they will fit as many as possible each day and this generally leads to cutting corners.
Our installers don’t earn any extra if they install more products. The only way they can increase their salary is if you become a satisfied customer and you recommend us to a family member or friend. We then pay the installers a bonus.
We have found that this incentivises our installers to work hard to give you the perfect installation, with minimum disruption, treating your home like their own throughout the whole process. They lay dust sheets inside and outside your property, take each day’s waste away from site, recycle what we can and vacuum up each evening. Our installers love working for us and our installation methods ensure we can guarantee a low labour turnover and excellent level of workmanship every time.
This is the final stage of the installation process. Our chief installer will check every detail with you to confirm that you are completely satisfied with every single aspect of the process and product. Our workmanship and product is then unconditionally guaranteed for ten years.
