Recycled Materials & Carbon Reduction
Sustainability is a core part of how Ecostar designs and manufactures high-performing windows and doors. Our approach goes beyond energy efficiency alone and focuses on reducing environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle.
By using recycled materials, improving our manufacturing efficiency and delivering products that help lower household energy consumption, we support a more sustainable environment.
Why Recycled Materials Matter
The use of recycled materials plays an important role in reducing carbon emissions and conserving natural resources for future generations. Manufacturing products from recycled uPVC requires significantly less energy than producing new material from raw inputs, which results in a lower carbon footprint.
Our Partnerships
We work closely with partners who share our commitment to reducing environmental impact. These partnerships support efficient uPVC recycling programs that ensure window and door frames can be recovered and reused at the end of their service life. Once collected, uPVC profiles are processed and converted into reusable material that can be manufactured into new uPVC products.
This recycling process can be repeated multiple times, extending the life of the material and significantly reducing waste. To further lower carbon impact, recycling and transport processes are carefully planned to reduce emissions, using efficient logistics and shorter delivery routes wherever possible.
uPVC Recycling
uPVC is widely recognised as a durable and environmentally responsible material due to its ability to be recycled multiple times without losing performance. When uPVC window and door frames reach the end of their service life, the material can be recovered, processed and reused to manufacture new products. This recycling process can be repeated many times, extending the usable life of uPVC and reducing the amount of waste.
Accreditations
Ecostar holds all major Australian and European quality accreditations including Victorian Building Authority Registered Building Practitioner, Australian Glass and Window Association, British Standard Institute, Secured by Design, Hot Country Profile, Window Energy Rating, Housing Industry Association, Neighbourhood Watch and BFRC energy rating (A++).
Carbon Reduction Through Energy Efficiency
Reducing carbon emissions depends not only on how products are made, but on how they perform after installation. Our windows and doors are designed to improve insulation and reduce heat transfer, helping Victoria homes maintain a more consistent indoor temperatures throughout the year. This reduces reliance on heating and cooling systems, leading to lower energy use and fewer carbon emissions over time, as well as lower energy costs.
A More Sustainable Choice for Victoria Homes
Choosing Ecostar means investing in products that are designed to perform efficiently, last longer and support a eco-friendly future. Through recyclable uPVC materials, energy-efficient double glazing and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices, we help Victoria homeowners reduce both their environmental footprint and energy costs. Our continued focus on recycled materials and carbon reduction ensures we are contributing to more sustainable homes across Australia.
