The Highest Security Doors

When installing a new set of doors, it’s always worth thinking about home security. After all, our homes are where our loved ones live, so keeping them safe is vitally important. Here at Ecostar, we take your safety very seriously and want you to feel reassured when you purchase a new door.

But if you’re looking for high-security doors, which are the best ones? The good news is that modern doors are far safer than they used to be and so long as you get a door from a respectable supplier, you should be fine. Here’s what you need to know.

UPVC Security Doors

If home safety is your highest priority, look no further than our UPVC Security Doors. These doors are engineered to be as secure as possible and are fitted with the latest home safety technology. They’re fitted with multi-point locking mechanisms that have Secured By Design accreditation and are built to be robust and durable. They’ll keep unwanted intruders out and we’re so confident in them, they come with a ten-year guarantee as standard.

Our range includes sliding doors, composite doors, French doors, and patio doors so you won’t be limited in your design choices. Their UPVC profiles are strong and reliable, so you’ll get complete peace of mind.

Double Glazed Doors

If you have a door with a glazed area, you can make a quick improvement to your home security by upgrading to double glazing. Single glazed windows are a weak spot and can be easily broken into, but double glazing is far more resilient. The gap between the panes makes them harder to break, to the extent you could feasibly swing a garden chair into one and not cause any damage (although we would recommend against trying). This is especially important for doors with large amounts of glass; criminals are always on the lookout for vulnerable homes and a single-glazed door is an open invitation.

Composite Doors

Composite doors are another excellent choice. As the name suggests, they’re built from multiple materials layered on top of each other, rather than a single product like timber. Composite doors are primarily designed for thermal efficiency and to resist all weather conditions, but a side effect of this is increased security. They’re slightly thicker than other doors and are usually fitted with a Glass Resistant Plastic (GRP) skin. This means they’re tough enough to withstand forced entry and the sophisticated locking mechanisms will keep burglars out too. They can even be fitted with smart hardware, an optional extra that allows you to check the state of your door on your phone, even if you’re miles away.

Of course, it’s also worth thinking about security for your existing doors. It’s always worth getting a professional locksmith to inspect your doors to check the locks are still in good order and replace them if necessary. That aside, look for cracks in the frame or glass, as they’re all weaknesses that could be exploited and it’s best to repair them as soon as possible.
